Airports Council International (ACI)’s new Smart Security programme aims to make travel safer, smoother and more efficient. The Smart Security programme aims to maximize security, support airports with operationally viable solutions and create a calmer, more desirable experience for passengers.
As part of this programme, a new Certificate in Smart Security has been developed. This certificate will give learners the skills to:
- better understand the benefits and challenges of introducing Smart Security concepts
- recognise the key issues to be considered when deploying Smart Security solutions in their airport
- know how to develop a business case justifying security checkpoint projects or investments
