Enhance Your Safety Performance With Human Factors Safety Training (Copy 2)

July 2017

Historically, research estimates that 85% of aviation accidents are attributed to human factors.

Human Factors Safety Training helps build the defences that reduce and mitigate human errors at airports by developing an awareness of the individual factors that can impact human performance that lead to errors in the first place. This course is used to understand human capabilities and limitations in order to build more tolerant and more resilient systems.

Human Factors Safety Training is one of the training tools used to support the Airport Excellence (APEX) in Safety Programme. The APEX in Safety Programme is designed to assist airports in identifying safety gaps as well as draw an action/implementation plan for the Host Airport to address these vulnerabilities. Read more about the ACI APEX Programme here

On completion of this online course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the basic components of human factors and their relationship to safety.
  • Describe how human factors are related to airport operations and safety.
  • Improve safety through the application of basic human factors strategies.

Price: USD$50.00
Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours
